A growing architects business has launched its first presence in Yorkshire by opening an office in Park Place, Leeds.

Nicholson Nairn Architects (NNA) is headquartered in Newcastle, but has now announced its latest expansion, which includes the appointment of a new Associate.

A spokesman for the business explained: “We’re a growing practice which is thriving and continuing to move forward in new and exciting directions.

“Since 2017 the Managing Director, Chris Barr, has driven the practice forward with exciting new projects, engaging with new and existing clients and appointing new team members.

“We undertake projects throughout the UK and are targeting further geographical growth through our Yorkshire base.

“This coincides with the appointment of our new Associate, Gary Wilson, who will be leading the Yorkshire team. A vastly experienced and talented architect, Gary returns to NNA where he originally worked and trained, before practicing in Leeds and North Yorkshire.”

Nicholson Nairn, which employs 13 people, was founded in 1991 by Tony Nicholson and Garfield Nairn to provide design, architecture, planning and building services throughout the North-East of England.

It is a chartered, RIBA registered practice providing services to both domestic and commercial clients, with projects ranging from modest home extensions to multi-million pound commercial projects.
