BUSINESS Minister Mark Prisk has promised businesses extra help to find finance in a speech in Yorkshire.

Mr Prisk set out efforts the Government had made to encourage banks to lend more through the Merlin agreement and promised to do more to help encourage new entrants into the banking marketplace.

And while he refused to go into detail he suggested the Government was ready to take further action to help businesses find new sources of investment.
