Motor group gets £4m cash injection

SHEFFIELD-based motor dealership The Gilder Group is set for expansion after securing £4m in funding from Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets.
The group, which was founded in 1938 by William Gilder, is the oldest Volkswagen dealer in the UK having been a VW retailer since 1953.
Now it represents the Audi, Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda brands in a number of dealerships across South Yorkshire including Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster.
