Funding boost for m³
CONSTRUCTION management firm Management Cubed (m³) is set to extend its premises leading to more services after receiving a funding boost.
The company has received the development loan from HSBC’s commercial banking team in South Yorkshire, in a deal led by senior commercial manager Chris Alsop.
The development loan will fund the construction of a new building adjoining m³’s existing office in Attercliffe, Sheffield.
The extra space will house the company’s growing team and allow the business to branch out into a wider range of specialism areas, targeting new clients.
Additional office space, created by m³, will be rented out for other small businesses.
Mark Vines, HSBC’s regional commercial director for Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and the North East, said: “We have worked closely with m³ and its directors from start up to the well established construction management firm it is today.
“The business has achieved a significant amount over the last decade, which is no mean feat considering how tough the economic climate has been in the construction industry. We’re delighted to see m³ go from strength to strength and to continue supporting the business in its next exciting phase of growth.”
James Oliver, director at m³, said: “We’re well known for our supermarket projects and the support from HSBC will help the business to grow not only in size but in project diversity – giving us a robust footing into other markets.
“Our recent projects in industrial, residential and public spaces show that we’re on track to achieving our goals.”
The company employs 36 people and has a turnover of £10m.
