Multi-million pound settlement in Langbar case

THE DEFENDANTS in the long-running civil fraud suit in connection with collapsed cash shell Langbar International have agreed to pay the company around £30m.

The agreement was made in the High Court in London two years after the company's shares were delisted from the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).

The shares had been suspended earlier after the company, which was run from Leeds and named after a small village close to Ilkley, reported a £365m cash hole in its accounts.
