New face of British banking revealed

A FORMER adviser to London Mayor Boris Johnson is to be the next chief executive of the British Bankers Association.

Anthony Browne will takeover the role from Angela Knight who has played a prominent role defending the banking sector in recent years.

Mr Browne is currently head of government relations for Morgan Stanley in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

He was previously Mr Johnson's director of economic and business policy.
