A RESTAURANT headed by a chef who trained under Gordon Ramsay is to open in Hull following a £1.8m investment.

1884 Dock Street Kitchen is owned by Headstart Retail and is located at the city's marina.

Head chef James Allcock will lead the operation, which has created 18 jobs. 

The eatery will serve modern British food made of ingredients from local suppliers.
