DEVELOPER Downing has gained approval for a 21-storey student accommodation tower which will be built as part of the second phase of its £40m Central Village scheme.

The £25m tower in Leeds will contain 404 cluster bedrooms and will sit alongside the 577-bed first phase of Central Village due to complete in September - for which Downing recently agreed a six-year lease with the University of Leeds.

It has also signed a deal with Tesco which will open a 4,500 sq ft Tesco Express on the site during autumn.......for the full story register now for free or login below...
