CRANSWICK has acquired a cooked and roasted meat products manufacturer in a move the food producer believes will broaden its customer base.

Kingston Foods is based in Milton Keynes and had gross assets of £3.7m on January 27, Cranswick said.

Announcing the deal, Hull-based Cranswick said: "The acquisition of Kingston strengthens Cranswick's cooked meat production capabilities, further diversifies its product range in a growing market and broadens the group's customer base."
