THE £6.5m restoration of one of Yorkshire's most popular wedding venues has been completed.

Allerton Castle was badly damaged in a fire seven years ago and has been undergoing refurbishment ever since.

It is the second time owner Gerald Rolph has restored the building since he bought it in 1983.

The Castle hosts more than 60 weddings a year in partnership with events firm Dine.
