Cooplands moves for rival baker Peters

MORE than 200 jobs will be saved with the sale of most of the collapsed bakery company Peters to Yorkshire firm Cooplands.
But 153 staff will be made redundant with the closure of 34 Peters Bakery stores and cuts at its Durham headquarters and distribution centre.
Administrators KPMG have sold 22 stores, the factory, offices and its retail van business to Scarborough-based family firm Cooplands.
