Trade figures trigger alarm

BUSINESS leaders called for the Government to boost support for exporters after the UK's trade deficit hit a 15-year high.
The deficit in goods hit £10.1bn in June which was partially offset by a £5.8bn surplus on services.
The latest figures took the deficit for the second quarter to £11.2bn, up from £7.8bn in the first three months of 2012.
