No sales spike from London 2012 - SIG

SIG today said the Olympic Games had had little "discernible effect" on its UK operations as the insulation and building products distributor posted a "resilient" half year performance.
Sheffield-based SIG saw statutory half-year pre-tax profits reach £25.2m for the six months to June 30.
Underlying pre-tax profits, stripping out various costs, were £34.7m, down from £35.4m over the same period last year. Group revenues on continuing operations were down 3.8% at £1.29bn.
