Marshalls chairman joins AIM-listed Fox Marble

ANDREW Allner, chairman of Marshalls, has been appointed chairman of a company that plans to quarry and process marble in Kosovo.

Fox Marble today listed on the Alternative Investment Market after raising £9.65m following the sale of almost 33m shares and the issuing of convertible loan notes.

Mr Allner, 58, has been non-executive chairman of Huddersfield-based paving specialist Marshalls since 2010.
 
He is also a non-executive director of CSR, Northgate, AZ Electronic Materials SA and The Go-Ahead Group.

Fox Marble is the UK holding company of a group which has been granted mining licences at five marble quarries in Kosovo.

The company wants to focus on the sale of polished marble slabs to the wholesale market for use in industries including construction.
