Millions for York improvement scheme

A £3m investment from York's Economic Infrastructure Fund is to be spent on city centre improvements to maintain its reputation as a major visitor and retail destination.
The programme of investments will focus on six public spaces in the city centre and include removing clutter, improving lighting and making it easier for people to move around.
