PROJECT consultancy WYG is to put its Irish business into liquidation.

WYG, which is headquartered in Leeds, blamed the "unsustainable property costs" it had inherited from the 12 acquisitions which created the Irish operation.

The business has also suffered from the crisis in the Irish economy which has had a massive impact on the country's construction sector.
