LEEDS Arena can become one of the top five venues of its kind in the world, according to its management team.

SMG Europe set out plans to stage 140 events a year at the Leeds Arena as it unveiled who will run the venue when it opens in September next year.

Ben Williams, formerly commercial and marketing director at the Manchester Arena, will be general manager working with operations director John Webster and assistant general manager Ailsa Oliver.
