Crawshaw enjoys sales growth

BUTCHER'S shop chain Crawshaw Group has seen a return to sales growth and is investing in new equipment to avoid the 'pasty tax'.

Like-for-like sales grew 4% in the six months to the end of July although total sales fell slighty to £9.3m, down from £9.4m, following closure of its Doncaster market site.

The trend has continued in the company's second half with like-for-like sales running at 8% up on last year.
