LONDON & Stamford and Green Park Investments have sold their share in the Meadowhall Shopping Centre in a deal valuing the complex at £1.53bn.

The joint venture has sold its 50% share in the freehold of the Centre to Norges Bank Investment Management which oversees the Norwegian Government Pension Fund.

The deal will give the joint venture net proceeds of £307.9m, amounting to a profit of £155.9m on its acquisition in 2009.
