Morrisons to target London convenience market

SUPERMARKET chain Morrisons has signed a deal with logistics group Wincanton as it looks to roll out its new 'M Local' format in London.
Wincanton will run the Bradford-based chain's first dedicated convenience store distribution centre in the capital.
Morrisons has plans to open 20 of its 'M Local' convenience stores by the end of the year as it looks to compete with the other major chains' small format offerings such as Tesco Metro and Sainsbury's Local.
