NICKY Brind joins Kenwood Hall’s senior management team following the hotel’s acquisition by the Yorkshire-based Principal-Hayley Group. Brind joins Kenwood Hall with seven years of managerial experience in the hotel industry, as well as two years as the corporate sales manager at Pineapple Marketing, where she managed a number of privately owned boutique hotels, including the La Trémoille in Paris and the Hotel Plaza Athénée in New York.

Creative Sheffield has appointed Emma Killilea, founder of the award-winning Delicious Alchemy food company, to its board. Killilea established Delicious Alchemy two years ago to supply wheat, gluten- and lactose-free foods to food service and retail outlets. In 2005, she won the Sheffield Hallam Enterprise Challenge and then went onto win the Yorkshire and Humberside Winner of Winners business competition and was voted the National Student Entrepreneur of the Year.

 

 

Leeds Society for Deaf and Blind People has appointed Rob Young in the role of director. Young spent six years working for European Telecommunications Company Tiscali, where he worked directly for founder Renato Soru as head of corporate office. He went on to manage Tiscali’s offerings in Belgium, Luxembourg and Denmark, where he increased Tiscali’s market share and negotiated major distribution partnerships. Prior to joining Tiscali Young served in the Royal Logistics Corps for 27 years.

Interim Partners, the specialist provider of interim management solutions, has appointed Mark Kitchen as head of practice for construction and related services.Having heading the construction division within Interim Partners from its London office, Kitchen brings a wealth of experience having spent more than 12 years in recruitment and construction contracting.
