TALKS have begun to launch a specialist sports digital academy in the region.

Leeds City Council, working with Marketing Leeds and leading brands Sky, sports data business Opta and performance analysis company Prozone, are seeking to develop a specialist academy in Leeds to make the most of the talent in the region and inspire future generations.

The idea is being launched today at a digital conference being held at Leeds City Museum as part of this year's Leeds Digital Festival.
