BUS manufacturer Optare broke back into EBITDA profit during the summer, chief executive Jim Sumner has revealed. 

The confirmation Optare made a profit in July represents a siginficant landmark in the turnaround of the Sherburn-based business where Indian firm Ashok Leyland became majority shareholder earlier this year.
