Chaophraya to open new restaurants

THAI restaurant group Chaophraya is expanding its Leeds restaurant and opening two more after securing new funding.

The Yorkshire-based chain has agreed a £2.4m package that will fund the opening of a restaurant in Edinburgh in November and another at the start of next year.

Launched by Martin Stead and Kim Kaewkraikhot in Leeds in 2004, Chaophraya now has restaurants in Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham and Glasgow.
