Estate agent Hunters closes offices but says expansion plans still on track

HUNTERS, the Yorkshire-based estate agent, is closing its Acomb and Haxby offices as sales volumes continue to fall sharply.
The firm, which has 20 offices throughout the region, said that sales of properties in the areas affected would be handled from its York office as of next week.
Last week it denied speculation that it was about to enter administration, although it admitted that 80 of its staff had left because of slow trading.
