CITY of York Council leader James Alexander has warned local enterprise partnerships are struggling to hand out millions of pounds of Government money aimed at promoting growth.

Coun Alexander urged more businesses to take advantage of the loans being offered by the region's LEPs backed by the Growing Places Fund.

The Government has given Yorkshire's four LEPs around £73m from its Growing Places Fund which was originally focused on stalled infrastructure projects hampering development such as roads and housing.......for the full story register now for free or login below...
