Straight downbeat as wet weather and poor retail conditions persist

RECYCLING company Staright said today that the wet weather was continuing to affect the group and that profits for the half-year were expected to be below market expectations.
The Leeds-based group said in a trading statement for the six months ended 30 June 2008 that its retail business continues to trade at levels significantly below management expectations due, in part, to the wet weather conditions as well as the general downturn in consumer demand.
