YORKSHIRE house builder Chartford Homes believes it is bucking the trend in the housing sector after beginning construction work on four residential sites.

The Leeds-based company has acquired four pieces of land in Garforth, Bingley, Pudsey and Alwoodley, all in West Yorkshire.

The sites give Chartford a land bank that will acommodate 94 homes and work has started to build them out.

The two, three and four bedroom homes at each site are expected to be completed by next spring.
