DRAX has announced it has appointed a new finance director to its board.

Anthony Quinlan joins the company and will begin the role in September.

He succeeds Gordon Boyd , whose decision to leave the company in the second half of the year was announced in March.

Mr Quinlan has spent the past 16 years at Marks & Spencer in a variety of roles , including establishing an investor relations function, and since 2005 was the director of financial control .
