The trip is in two parts, with the first part at China International Travel Mart (CITM).

Jointly organized by China National Tourism Administration, Civil Aviation Administration of China and Shanghai Municipal Government/Yunnan Provincial Government, CITM is thought to be the biggest travel show in China and Asia.

The second part of the trip is a sales mission. Organised by VisitBritain, the China Sales Mission will take place at The Langham Hotel in Shanghai and will feature buyers from across mainland China as well as Hong Kong.

Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, said: “We have been doing a lot of work in the Far East to promote Yorkshire and this will help build on that work.”
