Magners firm buys Waverley rights

THE intellectual property rights of drinks distributor WaverleyTBS have been sold by the administrators.

The deal sees C&C IP Sarl, part of C&C Group - the company behind cider brand Magners, secure the right to the Waverley name, brand and trademarks.

Chesterfield-based Waverley went into administration last month leading to the loss of 685 jobs. Around 50 further staff have subsequently left and 45 remain in post.
