Yorkshire jobs go at steel giant

TATA Steel is to cut 150 jobs from its operations in Yorkshire, the company said today.

The announcement came as part of a wider restructuring of its UK operations which will see 900 jobs lost overall, the majority in Wales.

The Yorkshire jobs will go from its Rotherham, Leeds and Stocksbridge sites although 11 jobs will be created.
