Export insight at exclusive seminar

READERS of TheBusinessDesk.com have the chance to take part in an exclusive seminar on exporting in partnership with UK Trade & Investment.

The event on Wednesday, December 12, will hear from UKTI regional director Mark Robson as well as an experienced export business and a speaker from a Yorkshire firm which has just started to trade internationally.

Mr Robson said: “The seminar is ideal for newcomers to international trade – companies who are keen to capitalise on opportunities for growth in overseas markets, but who are a little apprehensive about where to go or what to do next.

“We are looking to allay fears; share our knowledge, expertise and first-hand insight; and ultimately help and encourage them to take their first steps on an exciting journey.

“The session is particularly suited to small and medium enterprises that have never previously worked with UKTI. But there will be something for everyone, including businesses that are already trading internationally and that are looking for further expansion.”

Topics on the agenda will include the cultural implications of exporting and the global support network available to exporters.

UKTI will also set out more details of its Export Insight Visits – a series of overseas trips designed to help introduce novice exporters to international trade.

The event, being held at Aspire in Leeds, will begin with breakfast at 7.30am with the seminar starting at 8am and concluding at 9am.

Spaces are limited and are allocated on a first-come first-served basis. To confirm your attendance, please email stephanie.higgins@thebusinessdesk.com or call 0113 394 4321.
