Tesco banks on Keycare

LOST and stolen key recovery and replacement specialist Keycare has won a major three-year contract with Tesco Bank.

The Shipley-based business has won the work to provide assistance to Tesco Bank’s motor insurance customers.

The win adds the UK’s biggest supermarket group to a raft of clients that include Marks & Spencer, 1st Central and Suffolk Constabulary.

As TheBusinessDesk.com reported last month, Keycare is on course to post a £4.2m turnover and recently expanded its 27-strong team to new offices in Shipley to accommodate growth.

Under the agreement, Tesco Bank customers renewing or taking out a motor insurance policy could benefit from the key replacement service which the bank is offering as an additional cover option on both its standard and value policies.

David Ross, managing director of Keycare, said: “The price of replacing car keys continues to rocket – in some instances electronically programmed keys can cost as much as £1,000 or more to replace.

“This new product brings peace of mind to customers if they lose their keys, and supports Tesco Bank‘s reputation for offering its customers great service.”
