LEEDS bus and coach-building company Optare has won a £2.3m order for 19 buses from London bus operator London United, part of French transport group Transdev.

The company said it would deliver the twin door buses to London United in the last quarter of 2008.

Caisse des Depots et Consignations owns 68% of Transdev, with Parisian public transport authority RATP holding 25% and Italian banking group San Paolo IMI, through its subsidiary Finopi, owning the remaining 7%.
