Land sale raises funds for 600 Group
600 GROUP, the machine tools and laser marking business, has sold a freehold site in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire, for £1.1m.
The business said it had sold the site to a privately owned company and will use the proceeds of the sale to repay bank borrowings and provide additional working capital for the UK operations.
The group’s machine tools and precision engineering businesses are to remain on the same site in a newly refurbished leasehold factory and office complex.
As previously reported by TheBusinessDesk.com, 600 Group returned to profit in its first half.
The company sold its Polish subsidiary last September and is offloading its offices in Leeds.
