Trinity Leeds opening for Apple

APPLE is set to open a flagship store at the £350m Trinity Leeds shopping centre, TheBusinessDesk.com understands.

The move by the US designer and creator of the ubiquitous iPod, iPhone and iPad is a further boost for Land Securities, the developer of the scheme.

Although a spokeswoman acting on behalf of the shopping centre would not comment on the opening, a page on Apple’s website calls for people interested in working in Leeds to contact them.

TheBusinessDesk.com understands the store will be located at the new shopping centre, which opens on March 21.

The Leeds store would complement Apple’s popular retail outlet at the Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield.

TheBusinessDesk.com reported how 84% of space at Trinity Leeds was either pre-let or in solicitors’ hands in November.

Urban Outfitters and Victoria’s Secret have taken space and the scheme will also feature occupiers including M&S, Primark, Cult, Hollister, Next, River Island, H&M, and Topshop/Topman.
