Best foot forward as TheBusinessDesk.com signs up for 10K Corporate Challenge

THEBUSINESSDESK.COM is to be the official media partner of the Clarion Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge, it was announced today.

The annual Clarion Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge sees hundreds of businessmen and women from across the region compete to see their company finish first past the post in the hugely popular Jane Tomlinson Leeds 10K.

Yorkshire’s dedicated online business news service, TheBusinessDesk.com, has been secured as a new key supporter for the event on July 14.

Roger Hutton, senior partner at the event’s title sponsor, Clarion, said it was great to have TheBusinessDesk.com on board.

Mr Hutton said: “If getting fit is on your New Year’s resolution list then this is the perfect event for you as it means you can sign up with the rest of your colleagues – training together is a great motivator!

“This is a fantastic event and we are proud to be sponsors of the Corporate Challenge for the seventh year. We encourage businesses of all sizes across Yorkshire to enter a team for 2013.

“We are getting ready to start our training and are looking forward to challenging TheBusinessDesk.com this year!”

Teams of businesses running the 10k will receive corporate hospitality on the day of the race and have the opportunity to contribute to some of the region’s most deserving charities. The fastest corporate challenge team is calculated by adding together the top three runners’ times in each team.

A pre-event ‘Cryptic Quiz’ is also being held to allow organisations to fire up their competitive streaks as they try to crack clues in search of prizes.

Sara Birkinshaw, Jane Tomlinson’s 10K’s events director, said: “We are delighted to have the support of TheBusinessDesk.com for what has become a major business event of the year.”

David Parkin, founder and director of TheBusinessDesk.com, said: “The corporate challenge is a fantastic initiative and we are absolutely delighted to be involved. Our staff are already dusting off their trainers to get some early fitness work in.

“We look forward to bringing our readers all the news and information on the event.”

The Clarion Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge is open to team of 10 or more. Smaller teams can opt to purchase a package for a team of five.
