Royal seal of approval for Adsetts Partnership

HRH The Princess Royal officially opened the new headquarters for The Adsetts Partnership at the historic former Whitbread Exchange Brewery in Sheffield.

The royal party was treated to a tour of the building by Sir Norman Adsetts, chairman of The Adsetts Partnership, Philip Bartey, group chief executive of The Adsetts Partnership, and Lord Lieutenant David Moody.

The Adsetts Partnership is a not for profit organisation that brings voluntary sector agencies together in collaborations. It also markets directly to commissioners on behalf of these organisations to deliver benefits via larger contracts.

The organisation’s move into the former Whitbread Exchange Brewery building brings together the core services of the partnership, Autism Plus and Jobsteps Employment Services.

Princess Anne spent time learning about the work of the organisation and met a number of employees, service users, care workers and board members during her visit.

Mr Bartey said: “We were absolutely delighted to welcome HRH The Princess Royal to the historic new home of The Adsetts Partnership and showcase the work of the organisation.

“We have had a long association with The Princess as she opened one of our specialist autism centres in Doncaster back in 1987, so it especially poignant that she has officially opened our new headquarters in Sheffield.

“The Adsetts Partnership delivers many benefits to the disabled and vulnerable service users across the region. We are proud of the progression of the organisation and for what we have achieved so far.”
