Redhall Group secures deals worth over £57m

SPECIALIST engineering business Redhall Group today announced new contracts worth more than £57m.

The Wakefield-based group said it has been selected as a strategic partner by AWE, which supplies and maintains Britain’s nuclear warheads.

Redhall said the framework agreement with AWE for mechanical and electrical engineering services is estimated to provide contracts worth £50m over four years while Redhall Manufacturing has received orders worth £7.5m for three contracts for blast doors and other fire resistant structures with clients including Hyundai.

The company also said it had reached a “satisfactory agreement” to resolve its dispute over the final account for its involvement on Fellside Boiler Park.

Chief executive Richard Shuttleworth said: “We are delighted to announce some significant contract wins across the group, recognising our growing status within both the nuclear industry and the oil and gas supply chain in providing specialist products and services into technically demanding and high hazard environments.

“The settlement of the final account on the Fellside Boiler Park further demonstrates the positive progress being made to resolve the legacy issues within the business by the new management team.”
