Fourth office launch for Newtons Solicitors
NEWTONS Solicitors has launched an office in York as the North Yorkshire law firm expands.
The firm has acquired 1,300 sq ft of space at Maple House at Northminster Business Park, creating its fourth office, alongside bases in Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon.
The purchase of the new offices was supported by Santander Corporate Banking in Leeds.
Newtons has a team of 26 people across its offices and has plans to expand further in both North Yorkshire and Teesside.

Property solicitor John Paice has joined Newtons as a director from York practice Guest Walker & Co where he worked for six years, to lead the new office.
As well as specialising in commercial and residential property, Mr Paice also works on debt enforcement and property management company issues.
He said: “I’m delighted to join Newtons Solicitors to open the firm’s new office. York is a dynamic and exciting business area and, once we have settled in, we will recruit more York lawyers to our team.”
Newtons’ founder and managing director Christopher Newton said: “A York office has been on our wish list for some time and we are delighted that it is now a reality.
“We already have a good client following in York and opening an office will help us to grow considerably.”
Newtons has also appointed York property lawyer, Sally Robinson, who will work out of the firm’s Knaresborough office.
Ms Robinson, who joins from York law firm Denison Till, where she was a partner, gained her law degree at Cambridge University and trained in the City of London.
She said: “I’m excited to join Newtons and see a very good future for the firm. The dynamism and energy in the business is refreshing.”
The 18-acre Northminster Business Park, a former distribution facility, was acquired in 1995 and has been developed to become the base for more than 40 businesses employing a total of 500 staff.
