Bradford Burns Unit to benefit from cup final ticket giveaway

A LIFELONG Bradford City fan is raising money for charity by auctioning three pairs of tickets for the club’s historic Capital One cup final against Swansea at Wembley on Sunday.

Steve Jordan, who is a partner with BTG Asset Consulting in Leeds, secured the donation from Begbies Traynor Group.

All proceeds from the sale of the VIP ‘Silver Club’ Wembley tickets will go to the Bradford Burns Unit.

The former auctioneer is inviting sealed bids for each pair of tickets by email before the deadline of 6pm this Wednesday with the tickets going to the three highest bidders.

Mr Jordan said: “It is going to be an amazing occasion and a lot of fans, including me, want to remember the 56 supporters who perished in the terrible Valley Parade fire 28 years ago. This is a great opportunity to benefit the burns unit that was set up after the fire to help victims of serious burns.

“My colleagues at Begbies Traynor were more than happy to donate the tickets to such a worthwhile cause.  These are tickets for great seats on the second tier at Wembley, and they cost over £100 each.”

All bids are to be emailed to bradfordburns@begbies-traynor.com and bidders are requested to state the price offered for either the package of all six tickets together, or a pair of tickets.
