Latest property appointments: GVA; Shulmans; LSH; Emerging Real Estate

DALE Robinson has been promoted to director within the planning, development and regeneration team at property consultancy GVA in Yorkshire.

Robinson, who is based in the firm’s Leeds office, is an experienced planning and development surveyor, who has been with GVA for the past 10 years.

He is involved in a range of projects acting on behalf of both public and private sector clients.

Simon Hill LSHTHE Leeds agency team at Lambert Smith Hampton has welcomed Simon Hill on board as an agency surveyor.

Rob Whatmuff has also been promoted to director and regional head of industrial and logistics agency.

Matthew Scrimshaw, head of LSH’s Leeds office, said: “We have had a very strong start to 2013 and are on track for one of our busiest half years on the agency side. Simon will be an asset to the team and will help us with our growing workload.

“Rob has been a driving force in the success of the Leeds industrial team and his promotion is well deserved. I am sure he will continue to build on our solid client base and increase our profile across the north.”

Deepak Prasad ShulmansSHULMANS has appointed a solicitor with strong international connections to its commercial property team.

Deepak Prasad brings with him 15 years of experience relating to commercial property law, having previously operated his own West Yorkshire firm Prasad Solicitors.

Whilst running the firm, he developed strong international connections in the Far East, India and Middle East. He specialises in matters relating to landlords and tenants, along with an additional focus on property acquisitions and disposals.

He said: “I am delighted to be joining such a strong property team at Shulmans. The move made sense at this stage in my career as the firm’s international reach means many of the connections I have developed can be serviced more effectively by the larger team.”

Prasad will work under Simon Jackson, head of commercial property at Shulmans.

Lisa Dutton, Dan Ibbotson and Kim MoorhouseLEEDS-based property investment specialist, Emerging Real Estate, has doubled the size of its team with three new appointments.

Property sourcer Dan Ibbotson has joined the firm from Morgan’s City Living and will be locating real estate deals for investors. Lisa Dutton, previously with a national cosmetic surgery provider, has joined as the marketing assistant and Kim Moorhouse, formerly employed by Thorpe & Co solicitors, has been recruited as the personal assistant. 

Chairman Tim Morgan said: “The appointments mark a milestone in our growth and are aligned with our strategic expansion and goals.”
