NG Bailey delivers £9m refurb project

NG BAILEY has completed a major project for the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC).

The refurbishment, delivered by the Ilkley-based company’s engineering division, has expanded the size of the conference centre in Edinburgh’s busy financial district.

NG Bailey provided all electrical engineering for the project working alongside main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine.

The redevelopment of the EICC building saw the expansion of the EICC’s conference facilities and also included a new seven-storey office development, split between two buildings – Atria One and Atria Two – which both house office accommodation.

Mike Darlington, joint managing director for NG Bailey’s engineering division, said: “This project has been significant for the engineering division. It has enabled us to showcase our innovation in electrical engineering by providing bespoke solutions to create a streamlined and unique setting which will greatly enhance the experience of all that use the new facilities.”
