More than 300 new jobs for Yorkshire

A GLOBAL sales and marketing business is bringing more than 300 jobs to Yorkshire.

Clearanswer is set to create 300 new jobs in its call centre in Hull and said more jobs are in the pipeline for its Leeds office, too.

There are currently almost 700 people in the Hull office, which was launched in the city eight years ago with 15 staff.

Before Christmas, the business expects to recruit another 100, and then 200 early next year.

In Leeds, Clearanswer, which has a number of household names on its books, employs 60 people, but is currently recruiting to boost its West Yorkshire team, too. The business said there is space for an additional 40 members of staff in the Leeds office.

Jade Holt, Hull call centre manager, said: “We want to continue the development. It is a buyer’s market at the moment and we mainly deal with sales, so this is great for us.

“We are really proud we are able to offer so many jobs in Yorkshire.”

Clearanswer said the reason for focusing the bulk of expansion in Hull is because of the “friendly” accent.

Ms Holt said: “Our customers find that the Yorkshire accent is warm, friendly and welcoming, as well as being down to earth. We want to continue growing in Hull city centre.”

Clearanswer is headquartered in Kent and has another call centre in Bucharest.
