200 jobs go as Barratts stores close

TWO hundred staff have been made redundant at Yorkshire-headquartered footwear retailer Barratts after administrators closed stores around the country.

A total of 19 stores have now been shut, which include operations in Hull and Leeds.

Philip Duffy and David Whitehouse, of insolvency firm Duff & Phelps, were appointed joint administrators of Barratts Shoes on November 8.

The company operated from 75 stores and 23 concessions across the UK and Ireland employing 1,035 staff at the time of administration.......for the full story register now for free or login below...
