THE Leeds Met Hotel has appointed a new general manager as it aims to strengthen its position as one of the city's leading conference venues.

Deborah Heather has extensive experience in the hotel industry including previous posts as director of sales and marketing at the prestigious Devonshire Arms in North Yorkshire, and more recently as general manager at Aldwark Manor in York.
