Former PR chief launches new business

THE former managing director of  PR agency Ptarmigan has launched his own business.

Jason Madeley has launched Hatch Communications, a agency which will specialise in public relations, event management and sponsorship.

Mr Madeley said: “I set up Hatch to get back to basics with a simple aim, to deliver new ideas and cutting edge campaigns, from a hands on senior team. As people tighten their belts, PR needs to ensure it is a cost effective investment and that what the client is promised at pitch is actually delivered.”

The agency has already won a number of accounts.

It has been appointed by Alea Casino in Leeds, and by property and ports group Peel Holdings for the launch of the £50bn Ocean Gateway concept.

Hatch has also appointed another former Ptarmigan employee, James Hickman, to join the five strong team.
