Expansion continues for accountancy firm

AN accountancy firm in Harrogate is moving to new premises to accommodate its growing team and allow for further expansion.

CCF Accountancy is relocating from South Park Road to Victoria Avenue after taking on three new members of staff in less than 12 months.

Teresa Bowe, who founded CCF in 2010, also plans to take on two further members of staff in the coming year.

She said: “The last year has been very busy for us and it became clear our old offices were not meeting our needs.

“The new office is much more practical for the team, as well as being more accessible for our clients. It also gives us enough space to grow, which is very much part of our plan for the coming year.”

CCF’s recent recruitment began with senior accountant Lisette MacGrath in April 2013, who was taken on to help with compliance matters. She was followed by Jessika Ellis, CCF’s second accountancy apprentice, in September.

The latest new member of staff is Alice FitzGerald, a trainee accountant who joined CCF from another Harrogate practice in February. All three new members of staff have already undertaken training and development with the firm in order to offer the best possible service to clients.

In 2014, Teresa plans to recruit an apprentice administrator in order to promote current staff member Emily Wood to become her PA. Later in the year, a third accountancy apprentice will be taken on to follow in the footsteps of Jessika, and Jake Wood, who completed his apprenticeship last summer and is now working full time at CCF.

“Our first four years have seen a lot of growth and expansion, along with periods of consolidation to ensure we are on a steady footing for the future,” said Bowe.

“However, no matter how the company grows in the future, our priorities will remain the same: doing everything we can to help our clients. We all believe that accounts and tax do not need to be worrying or stressful and we are here to help all our clients to understand them, so they can make the most of their money.”
