Dunlop Heywood launches new office

GROWING Leeds chartered surveyors Dunlop Heywood has opened a new office in Belfast after winning a raft of new business both North and South of the Irish border.

Led by new recruit John Gowland, Dunlop Heywood Belfast will be based in Cromac Sq, in the heart of the city.

Gowland joins the expanding team from Land and Property Services in Northern Ireland where he was a valuation officer, responsible for providing an advisory service to Local Authority Councils and Government Departments.

He will hit the ground running following recent instructions in the Province already confirmed from Belfast International Airport, Belfast City Airport, City of Derry Airport, The Quays Shopping Centre, Newry, Ulster Bank (shopping centre), Peel Ports, Port of Belfast, and Pure Gym.

In the Republic of Ireland, he will also be working with Stuart Hicks following a recent instruction from Shannon International Airport.

Dunlop Heywood managing director, Stuart Hicks, said: “The office will be led by John as senior surveyor who has a wealth of local knowledge for this leading role.

“His initial focus will be on Rating, due to the Revaluation being implemented in the region effective from April 2015. In the interim we will also be challenging assessments in respect of the current Valuation List and we expect to be announcing several new clients in the region in addition to the latest signings.”

Dunlop Heywood now has seven offices nationwide – Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, London, Dublin, Belfast, Newcastle – as well as a base in Abu Dhabi.
